Purpose and Scope
Aydın Dental Journal (Aydin Dent. J) It is the peer-reviewed journal of Istanbul Aydın University, Faculty of Dentistry. It is a scientific journal open to free access depending on the principles of publication ethics, where original scientific studies are evaluated with double-blind refereeing principles.
Aydın Dental Journal has been publishing original research articles, reviews, technical reports, case reports and letters to the editor in the field of dentistry since 2015. The publication language is Turkish and English. As of 2023, it is published in 3 issues a year, in April, August and December.

Open Access Policy
Aydın Dental Journalhas adopted the Open Access policy based on the idea of benefiting humanity by increasing the universal circulation of information. The journal makes available all usage rights (linking, copying, printing, reproducing and distributing in physical environment, etc.) other than commercial use free of charge within the scope of the copyrights of the content taken over and published by the authors, provided that the source is cited and the content is not changed. Written permission must be obtained from the publisher for the use of the content for commercial purposes.
Publication Charge
No fee is charged for the journal. In addition, all accepted articles are published free of charge.
Principles of Research and Publication Ethics
Scientific articles submitted to Aydın Dental Journal should take into account the guidelines related to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics of Higher Education Institutions, ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) recommendations and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) 's International Standards for Editors and Authors. Plagiarism, forgery or deception in data, repetition of publications, publishing by splitting and inclusion of people who do not contribute to the research among the authors are unacceptable practices within the scope of ethical rules. In case of any ethical irregularity related to this and similar practices, necessary legal actions will be taken.
a)Plagiarism: Placing the original ideas, methods, data, or works of others, partly or completely, without making reference to the scientific rules, is dealt with in the context of plagiarism. In order to avoid plagiarism, the authors should refer to the scientific rules in a manner that is appropriate and should pay attention to the references of all scientific papers in their research.
b)Forgery of Data: The use of data that does not exist or is modified in scientific research is data in the scope of forgery. Authors should analyze their data in accordance with ethical rules and without exposing them to a change in validity and reliability during the process.
c)Detortion: Changing the records or data obtained from the study, showing the devices or materials that are not used in the research as used, changing or shaping the research results according to the interests of the people and organizations that are supported are considered within the scope of distortion. The authors should be honest, objective and transparent in the information they provide in relation to the research process. They should avoid violating the rules of ethics.
d)Repetition: Presenting the same publication as separate publications without referring to the previous publications is considered within the scope of repetition of publications. The responsibility for the publication of the publications submitted for evaluation in another place or in the evaluation process belongs to the authors. The authors should refrain from repeating the original and original research and they should pay attention to submit their original and original research.
e)Divisional Publication: The results of a research are discussed in the scope of dissemination and disseminating the results of the research in a way that disrupts the integrity of the research and disseminating it in more than one way, and publishing these publications as separate publications. The authors should consider the integrity of the research and avoid the divisions that will affect the results.
f)Authorship: The inclusion of people who do not contribute to the research or not to include the people who have contributed is considered within the scope of unfair writing. All authors should have contributed sufficiently to the planning, design, data collection, analysis, evaluation, preparation of the research and finalization of the research.
Publication Ethics
All submitted articles have to undergo a control scan and are controlled via iThenticate and/or Turnitin (Advanced Plagiarism Dectection Software). Articles with a similarity report rate above %15will not be accepted.
Aydın Dental Journal aims to protect the scientific content of the articles to be published and to secure the authors' rights. For articles accepted into the journal, authors are required to transfer all publication rights by signing a Copyright Transfer Form .
While Aydin Dental Journal allows authors to use their copyrights without restriction, it also reserves the right to publish. It is assumed that the submitted articles do not contain any elements of private property other than patented or patent-applied materials. All responsibility for the accuracy of the technical content and the protection of proprietary materials belongs to the authors and/or affiliated institutions; Aydın Dental Journal or the Editorial Board does not accept any responsibility in this regard. The principal author (responsible author) is responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is reviewed and approved by all authors. In addition, it is up to the authors to obtain the necessary permissions for all copyrighted materials used in the article before submission.
